UTET 2020: The Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) has released the notification of the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) on January 29, 2021. The application is already released and will be available up to February 18, 2021. The UBSE conducts the UTET every year for the recruitment of teachers of primary level i.e., 1 to 5, and upper primary i.e., for 6 to 8 classes. The online application form will be available from the first week of August 2020 tentatively. UTET 2020

Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) will be conducted by the Government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Candidates who pass Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test are qualified to teach from class 1 to class 8 in various government schools of the Uttarakhand state. This examination is conducted every year by the Uttarakhand Vidyalaya Parishad. UBSE will conduct Uttrakhand Teachers’ Eligibility Test (UTET) 2020 in two papers, namely, UTET-I for a person intending to be a teacher for Class-I to Class-V and UTET-II for a person intending to be a teacher for Class-VI to Class-VIII.

UTET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age: There is no age limit prescribed for candidates appearing in UTET.

Educational Qualifications

For UTET-I (Classes I – V)

The eligibility conditions for the primary teachers consist of the following minimum qualification as mentioned below:

  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with the minimum 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.Ed/ BTC) Or
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) as per the Regulations 2002. Or
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with the minimum 50% marks and 4-year preliminary Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED) Or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and education with minimum 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education) Or
  • Graduation (or it’s equivalent) and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed)/ BTC. Or
  • Siksha Mitra who passed 2 years Diploma (D.EL.Ed) from IGNOU. Or
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and D.Ed/B.Ed (Special Education).

For UTET-II (Classes VI-VIII)

The eligibility conditions for the Higher primary teachers consist of the following minimum qualification as mentioned below:

  • Graduation (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma (B.T.C/ D.EL.Ed) in Elementary Education. Or
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor (B.Ed/L.T/Shiksha Shastri) in Education. Or
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor (B.Ed/L.T/Shiksha Shastri) in Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. Or
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EL.ED). Or
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.Sc.Ed. Or
  • Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education).

UTET 2020 Application Form

The application form for UTET 2020 process is over on the official website as per the schedule. However, applications received without the prescribed fee were not be considered and summarily rejected. And, no representation against such rejection was entertained. The fee once paid was not refunded under any circumstances nor it was adjusted against any other examination or selection.

How to Apply

Steps to Fill Online Application Form Click on the Register link and Register yourself for this Exam. After Registration login your account and follow the below steps

  • Fill the Online Application Form. Candidates are advised to note down his/her system generated Application Number. The candidate should supply all the details while filling the online Application Form and no columns shall be kept vacant. After the successful submission of the data, the Application number will be generated.
  • Candidate must upload his/her scanned images of Photograph and Signature. The scanned images of the photograph, Signature should be in jpg/jpeg format only. The size of the photo image must be greater than 10 Kb and less than 20 Kb. The size of the signature image must be greater than 4 Kb and less than 10 Kb.
  • After filling the Application and Uploading images of the photo and signature, the Candidate can view and edit the data and photo if necessary.
  • The candidate has to pay the examination fee through online payment mode using Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card only.
  • After the Final Submission of the Online Application Form, the candidate will take a printout of his/her Application Form, and retain it for future reference.

UTET 2020 Admit Card

UTET 2020 Admit Card will be available as per schedule. Candidate of UTET 2020 can download their respective Admit Card from the official website of UBSE. The Candidates are able to download/print the Admit Cards for entrance to Examination Centre.

To download the admit card log on to www.ubseonline.uk.gov.in. Click on apply online link Enter your Login Id and Password as set by you. Download and print admit card from the link given in the Applicant’s Home Page. One copy of the admit card must be preserved for future use.

UTET 2020 Exam Pattern

The examination pattern for UTET 2020 is provided below:

  • Question Paper (UTET Paper-I & UTET Paper-II) will have 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 (one) mark each in the subjects under the relevant papers.
  • Question papers will be in English and Hindi only (other than language Papers).
  • The test duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • Each right answer will be awarded one mark.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking.
  • All OMR Answer Sheets for marking answers and instructions etc. will be in English only.
  • In case of any discrepancy or confusion concerning the two versions of question papers, the English version will be treated as the authentic/final.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

The candidates who will appear for the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test will have to score minimum qualifying marks in order to be taken into consideration for the final selection. The category-wise qualifying marks are as follows:

  • General – 60% marks
  • SC/ST – 40% marks
  • OBC/Differently Abled Class – 50% marks
